Not only is Michelle married to our driver, she also serves as the Team Manager and Spotter. "Team Manager just means I know how much money is in the budget for racing each week," says Michelle. "That and I make sure the crew eats good! But spotting is the job I enjoy most. It's not as easy as it sounds though. There's nothing worse than having your driver start on the outside then waiting to clear him to the bottom. "I once heard Darrelll Waltrip. say with regards to a spotter "don't tell me the things I can see, tell me the things I can't," Michelle adds. "And, that's what I try to do. Jimbo and I have certain expressions for certain things-things that have a specific meaning so we always know exactly what the other one is talking about." Michelle also says there's a certain comfort level she gets from talking to Jimbo during the race. "Nobody else is going to watch out for his well being like I am." Michelle also attended the Andy Hillenburg Racing School at Atlanta Motorspeedway where she achieved a top speed of 145mph! FAVORITE NASCAR DRIVER: JEFF GORDON |

Jay, or Big Jay as he is affectionately known is our Jack....not the Jack man, but "the jack". You see Jay at 6'2" and nearly 300lbs, does more than pump a jack handle. He can practically lift the car by himself if need be. And Jay is part of the family. He's Jimbo's brother-in-law (Michelle's brother). Jay is relatively new to racing. But the first time he saw Jimbo race he was hooked! Jay will tell you he's still learning how to turn wrench, but he's always at the ready to do whatever is needed. One thing he knows for sure, lug nuts get a little hot! He learned that the hard way! If you see him in the pits, ask him why some folks call him Bubba Lugnuts! Oh, and since he played Defense Tackle/Offensive Linemen in both high school and college football, we've put him in charge of Team Security. FAVORITE NASCAR DRIVER: Anybody that beats Toyota! |

JImbo and Daren have worked together for many years, but only recently has Daren taken an interest in helping out the team. A welder by trade, Daren has been a welcome addition to the crew. While he's still learning his way around the #16 pit, Daren has been a racing fan for sometime. In addition to racing, Daren also enjoys wrestling (the local variety) and loves watching racing. He's also a huge fan of the late great chef Justin Wilson and does one of the best impersonations you will ever hear! Daren also enjoys camping and spending time with his son Justice.
